FAQ

Questions we hear

What happens at the first visit?

About 45 minutes: a talk with the doctor, a hands-on exam, an explanation of what was found and a written estimate. If you choose care that day, it happens then.

Is an adjustment safe?

Every kind of care has risks. Some people feel sore for a day or so. Rare serious events, including stroke, have been reported after neck adjustments. Your doctor explains the risks before care, you decide, and you can stop at any time. If you have a sudden severe headache or neck pain, call 911 first.

Will it hurt?

Some people feel mild soreness for a day or so afterward. Tell the doctor during a visit if something is uncomfortable, and the doctor changes what is being done or stops.

How many visits will I need?

Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and says how often to come. We do not promise a number of visits, and you can stop at any time.

Do you take my insurance?

We are out of network and do not bill any plan. You pay at the visit and can ask for a superbill to send to your plan, and the plan decides what it reimburses. How fees work has the details.

What if I do not use insurance?

You pay the same fees. You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate: ask us, and we give it to you in writing before your visit.

Do I need x-rays?

Only when medically necessary. If your doctor recommends them, you hear why and what they cost before they are taken.

Can I bring my child or come while pregnant?

The practice sees adults. If you are pregnant, tell the doctor and ask your obstetric provider before booking.

What if I have seen another provider?

Tell us. You are welcome to share records from another provider, and the doctor asks your permission before contacting anyone.

What is the cancellation policy?

Call as early as you can so another patient can have your time. We do not charge a fee for a missed visit.
